WJ De King
Real names WONLOK JAMES is an afro dancehall award winning musician from Juba, South Sudan, and formerly the International ambassador for save the children International South Sudan. He is one of the most renowned & respected South Sudanese Musician/artists popularly referred to as “Man of Peace” born on 12th -April-1987 from a small village in the Eastern Equatoria part of South Sudan.
Despite 21 years being in the civil war of Sudan and also once a child soldier and also served in the National Police as an officer, he has always kept his love and determination for music alive. His music career started professionally in the year 2005 in a group popularly known as Freedom Boys comprising of WJ De King, De Morgan & Lagu Joseph then later he went solo to form the now Lokwilili Kingdom which he is currently the head and branded with the name “WJ De king of Lokwilili. He won a lot of awards both within and abroad.
WJ De King has done some Collaborations with Uganda’s Jose Chameleon, Radio & Weasle, Ziza Bafana, Dr. Hilderman Washington as well as our very own South Sudanese Musicians such as Dynamq currently based in the United States, Silver X, Case Blanco, Sultan De Biggy, Mr. Lengs, Saab Jay and many more.
WJ De King is currently signed to Rock star Records and Promotions, one of the leading entertainment company in South Sudan.
