David Pascal Ngala James (born 22 October ), known professionally as Fanan Ngala (sometimes stylized as FANAN'NGALA), is a South Sudanese singer, Rapper, songwriter and Producer. He started recording music at the age of 11 and managed to release a collaborative album with the G.M.T (Grown Man Thang) a group he and a couple of his neighbourhood friends formed at age of 14-16years. He later went solo with his Music Career and began to win the hearts of most fans he has/had at the time then Tizzy Camp Music was formed when he uplifted Moru HipHop.
He was relocated to Uganda at the age of 6-7years for his Primary education. Four years later, He began his music career doing backup vocals in the Church, Writing Music, Free styling at schools at the streets and got to perform with some big artists as curtain raiser. After participating in Couple of invents, Fanan won the hearts of the most people and graduating from High school Fanan Ngala made TizzyCampMusic Official label and has not signed a publishing deal that would be Inspired by the growth of the South Sudan music industry, Fanan moved back to South Sudan and Began to sign artist in 2013. He made an appearance on the label's 2019 compilation album “Why Us”
His debut studio album Kwozi Paras was released on 19 June 2015. It was supported by Five singles: "The album was nominated for Best Album of the Year at the 2017 Great Mundri Entertainment Awards and for Best R&B/Hip HopPop Album at 2017 Best of Mundri Awards. In June 2019, Fanan signed a Radio and publishing deal with Radio One in Juba. In September 2019, He was nominated best songwriter, Best New artist and best Collaboration with Cocoson one of Tizzy Camp Music signed artist SSMA 2019 –( South Sudan Music Awards, He won the Awards and later He released his 1st single in 2020 Called wambiri that hit the air waves for 4 month His debut EP Kotobi to Mundri and Son of the Soil have both been Huge love and support from the supporters it, it’s 24/7 on waves that has kept Fanan strong to his competitors in the industry and leaving relevant at most in his Country South Sudan.
In November 2019, Fanan Ngala won Best New Artist at the 2019 SSMA, becoming the first artist to win the category SSMA. In May 2019, He was announced the best indigenous Rapper. He sings and raps in English and Moru. His music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, pop and hip-hop. Fanan Ngala’s contributions to the South Sudan music industry have earned Him several achievements. He has been involved in youth empowerment and breast cancer screening projects and Girl Guide education that has raised funds to build schools in Mundri and support girls in the Refugee camps In Uganda (East Africa ).
